Get to Know Me
Hi, I’m Stacey. I am passionate about helping my clients become inspired to create happier, healthier lives!
I see individuals, age 16 and older for counseling at Inspired Happiness Therapy in Ridgeland, MS. I also see clients anywhere in the state of Mississippi for secure, online video (telehealth) sessions. I do not see couples, families, or children.
My availability is updated on the Appointments page. When I am accepting new clients, you can schedule a consultation call or you can contact the office.
I am an LGBTQ+ affirming therapist who believes that who you are should not effect your access to mental health treatment. I believe in creating a non-judgmental atmosphere where all are accepted! That includes not only LGBTQ+ people but also those who identify as non-monogamous, those in polyamorous relationships, and those in the kink/BDSM community. I am also neurodivergent affirming, health at every size (HAES) body positive, a feminist, and supportive of sex workers.

How I Became an Unconventional Therapist
I have always been a little different than the people around me, especially here in Mississippi! Because of that, I have really always been a nontraditional therapist. In my own therapy (every therapist needs a good therapist!) I noticed that I was holding back on talking about things like past life regression and tarot because I was afraid that my therapist might judge me or think I was “crazy.” Even though we had great therapeutic rapport, because these things are so outside of the mainstream here, I assumed that she would struggle to be accepting even though counselors are trained to be accepting.
I knew that I wanted my own clients to feel comfortable talking about whatever practices they incorporate into their daily life, be them spiritual or just for guidance. Whether you:
- live your life by the moon
- make decisions based on astrology
- pull a tarot card for guidance or to ask about the future
- believe in past lives or have been influenced by experiences in those past lives
- find comfort in angel numbers and numerology
- are a practicing pagan, neopagan, or witch
- prefer to use herbs, tinctures, and earth medicine
- practice or utilize Reiki and energy medicine
- are a starseed finding your life’s misson
- are psychic, a medium, channel, or access the akashic records
or any other practice that’s outside the mainstream, you are affirmed, seen, and celebrated in therapy with me. I am educated and experienced in discerning the difference between delusions or psychosis and a extra-normal/paranormal experience. I am a Reiki Master and am trained in Quantum Healing Hypnosis Technique and offer those services through my holistic health practice, Kaya Holistic Wellness rather than here at Inspired Happiness Therapy. If you are interested in those services, please visit the Kaya Holistic Wellness website.
More About My Professional Experience
I have been working in the mental health field since 2011.
I began my career in mental health working with the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) Mississippi, an education and advocacy focused non-profit.
I have a Bachelor of Arts in Social Services from Belhaven University and a Master of Social Work from Jackson State University, where I graduated with honors. I finished clinical supervision to obtain my LCSW in October 2019 and started working in private practice soon thereafter. I have post-graduate education in various subjects, including training in EMDR, IFS, and treating Religious Trauma and Spiritual Abuse.
I enjoy working with LGBT and neurodivergent clients, probably because I am queer and was late diagnosed with ADHD myself.
More About Me
I live in Ridgeland, Mississippi with my two rescue dogs, my spouse, and his Jack Russell terrier. I enjoy reading and writing about relationships, communication, and emotional health. My favorite audiobooks are memoirs and psychological thrillers. I like to spend my free time listening to podcasts, creating tie dye art, and gardening both indoors and outdoors. I also like hiking and just spending time in nature; traveling; binge-watching sitcoms; and everything related to music.
